Labor and Delivery

Well last night I went to sleep around 9pm and was awaken from a dead sleep by bad contractions but also felt very sick to my stomach so I waited about an hour until 1130pm and then decided to go to OB and they told me that I am 1 CM dilated and I am 50% effaced and they picked up 5 contractions on the monitor in 1 hour. So they sent me home and put me on modified bed rest. Now I know that 1 cm doesn't mean anything you can walk around that way for weeks before labor starts but for me that is a great sign because with my first child I had to be induced and at least this way I know something is going on and maybe I wont have to be induced. Although she does need to stay in my belly until I am at least 35 weeks then if she wants to grace us with her presence then she can safely be delivered. So 35 weeks makes it next Friday! I can not wait to meet my little daughter!

Orientation

Tomorrow morning starts my orientation for my new job! Yes, I am starting a new job at 33 weeks pregnant! We have to do two eight hour days of orientation with all the different departments in the building so we learn what each one does and how it works. Of course we then go over our enormous amounts of paper work that you have as a new employee. Then we will be scheduled for 5 days of on the floor orientation with another CNA and after that we are on our own working, well not alone there are others on the floor but we wont have to Shadow then we can take care of others on our own. Well, I hope tomorrow goes well wish me luck!

What a blah day

What a day it seems like this pregnancy will go on forever I still have 7 weeks ugh! I am going to try and get my OB to induce me at 36 weeks because I have my Oregon State Board of Nursing exam for my CNA when I am 37 almost 38 weeks and if I go into labor and miss my test date I have to pay all over again and wait for another testing date,

About me

Hey all the teacher said we could write about whatever we wanted to write a little bit about myself. I graduated high school in 2004 started my CNA class and then was certified later that year I worked as a home health aide and a CNA in a skilled nursing home for about 2 years. From there in 2006 I enrolled in Ashmead college of massage which was then changed to Everest Institute. I graduated from there in March of 2008 It should have only taken me 11 months to get my degree but I took 6 months off when I had my first daughter.
Now I live in a small coastal town in Oregon and I work at a facility that is a Skilled Nursing Home. Today officially marks me 33 weeks pregnant woo almost done! I currently have a 3 year old daughter that will almost be 3 and a half when the new addition arrives which is also a girl. Two teenagers at once that are girls someone save me now ha ha.
My first pregnancy wasn't all that joyous for me and this one has not been much different there always seems to be something that goes wrong I get sick more often I have never been on more medication while pregnant when when I am not pregnant. I have what I call all day sickness for the first 6 months of my pregnancy I lost 22lbs when I was unable to normally eat due to the sickness. But it is all worth it in the end because I get a beautiful bundle of joy. I am although getting my tubes tied after this baby is born I would rather not have anymore babies I don't mind adoption or marrying someone with children I just don't want to be pregnant again!
I am going to online classes because I can't take the time off work, and can not afford the daycare to attend a college in my area this works better for me with my schedule. I want to get my degree and become an Administrator at either a Nursing home Memory Care Facility or at a Hospital. I love the health care field have been doing it for 7 years now but would like to get into the office side of it.
